On August 1, Josep Borrell, a representative of the European Union, arrived in Kazakhstan on an official visit. During the visit he held discussions with Murat Nurtleu, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Speaking to reporters, the EU representative noted that this is his second visit to Kazakhstan.
"As my mandate ends in three months, it was important for me to come to Astana to reaffirm the EU's commitment to strengthening co-operation with Central Asia and Kazakhstan as a key country in the region," said Josep Borrell.
According to the representative of the European Union, there has been a very dynamic interaction between the EU and Kazakhstan over these five years.
