During the meeting, Tokayev noted the strong momentum in Kazakhstan–Belarus strategic partnership, particularly in the economic sphere.

He emphasized the importance of maintaining an active and trust-based dialogue, as well as ensuring the effective implementation of agreements reached at the highest level.

“We attach great importance to cooperation with you in all areas. I believe there are all grounds to express satisfaction with the progressive dynamics of our interaction, especially in the economy. I would also like to convey my greetings and best wishes to President Alexander Lukashenko,” Tokayev said, adding that bilateral issues could be discussed alongside the upcoming meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in May.

In turn, Ryzhenkov thanked the Kazakh leader for the reception and delivered Lukashenko’s message, wishing Kazakhstan further success and prosperity.

“I would like to convey the warmest wishes from President Alexander Lukashenko and wish you success and impressive results in the development of your country and improving the well-being of citizens,” he said.

The Belarusian minister also highlighted that Kazakhstan’s policies are focused on the interests of its people, noting that this approach brings the two countries closer together.

The sides emphasized the importance of further expanding cooperation in industrial cooperation, transport, agriculture, tourism and other sectors. Special attention was also given to boosting exports of Kazakh products.

According to the results of 2025, trade turnover between the two countries increased by 30 percent, reaching $1.2 billion.

Tokayev also welcomed the upcoming opening of the Consulate General of Belarus in Almaty, which is expected to strengthen regional ties between the two nations.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on current regional and international issues.
