According to the Kazakhstan government press service, relations with Azerbaijan are developing in trade and culture. Trade turnover increased by 14.3% last year, reaching $529.4 million. In the first half of 2024, it amounted to $280.6 million.

Joint projects are being implemented in oil and gas, transport, digital and space spheres. They include the Trans-Caspian route, a fiber-optic line and an electric cable along the Caspian Sea bed. A joint Direct Investment Fund for co-operation has been established.
"Over the past five years (2018-2023), the volume of mutual trade has increased from 5.7 to 11 billion dollars. Last year, Kazakhstan's trade with CA countries increased by 26.8% and reached $8 billion", - writes the press service.
