On March 11, around 1,000 students took part in the large-scale flashmob in one of Astana shopping malls. They performed the favorite Kazakh dance Kara Zhorga. The purpose of the event was to support the large-scale project (EXPO-2017 in Kazakhstan) via art. Over 2,000 people expressed their support of Astana's bid to host the international exhibition. The participants made several beautiful art objects using glass paints, colored papers and other materials: Kazakhstan board, I support EXPO-2017 photo work and others. The event was also attended by the members of the expert commission of the International Exhibitions Bureau headed by its Secretary General Vincent Gonzales Loscertales who told about his impressions: "This is the warmest welcome I have ever had. Tomorrow and in the next couple of days we are meeting with Prime-Minister and the Ministers." The commission's visit will also include the round-table meeting and a meeting with the students of Gumilyov Eurasian National University with participation of the Minister of Education and Science, as well as a trip to the proposed location of the exhibition center. The candidates for hosting the exhibition include two Canadian cities Edmonton and Montreal, Belgian Liege and French Lille.
