Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Georgia Yermukhamet Yertysbayev has presented his credentials to Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the press-service of Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry. “During the talk after the ceremony the President praised Kazakhstan’s achievements under the leadership of President Nursultan Nazarbayev. He stressed that President Nazarbayev played an important role in development of modern Georgia: Kazakhstan President rendered support in the most difficult periods of its history, which will always be in the memories of the Georgian people,” the press-service writes. Saakashvili stressed successfulness of Kazakhstan’s balanced foreign policy pointing out efficiency of the OSCE summit in Astana in 2010, as well as the recent talks on the Iranian nuclear program in Almaty. Georgian President supported participation of a Georgian delegation in the Astana Economic Forum that will be held on May 22-24. Yertysbayev said that the 20th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Georgia was celebrated with good results. In this context he noted the importance of stepping up expansion and enhancement of interactions between Astana and Tbilisi in political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian sectors. Ex advisor of Kazakhstan President Yermukhamet Yertysbayev was appointed ambassador of Kazakhstan to Georgia in April.
