Ambassador of Germany to Kazakhstan reminded of the German origin of Eurocopter at the third meeting of Kazakhstan-German Business Council on strategic cooperation in Astana on December 13, Tengrinews.kz reports. “First Eurocopter helicopter was recently assembled by Eurocopter Kazakhstan Engineering. Please let me point it out that despite of the official information, this is not a Kazakhstan-French cooperation. Eurocopter’s office is indeed located in Paris. However, this is a German-French joint venture. Spare parts for the helicopters are supplied to Astana from Germany only. To be more precise, from Ottobrunn city, Bavaria. Consulting of Kazakhstan company is also made from Ottobrunn and the experts working in Eurocopter are German, of course,” the diplomat said. Ambassador of Germany to Kazakhstan also reminded that the discussed agreement on cooperation of the two countries in investment-innovational sector is yet “just a paper” that needs to be vitalized. He noted that the agreement does not only cover raw materials, but alo transfer of industries and technologies.
