Acorda outlines Tokayev’s plans after New York trip

Tengrinews.kz – The press service of Akorda has announced President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s upcoming schedule following his working visit to New York.

On September 26, the head of state will chair a meeting of the National Council on Science and Technology under the President of Kazakhstan.

The next day, September 27, acting president of Myanmar and chairman of the State Administration Council, Min Aung Hlaing, will arrive in Astana for high-level talks with Tokayev. Discussions will focus on cooperation between the two countries.

On September 29–30, Italian President Sergio Mattarella will pay an official visit to Kazakhstan at Tokayev’s invitation.

“The presidents will review prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation in trade, economy, investment, and cultural-humanitarian areas,” Akorda said in a statement.

Tokayev returned from New York on September 21, where he addressed the General Debate of the UN General Assembly’s 80th anniversary session. His program also included meetings with foreign leaders, heads of international organizations, and representatives of multinational corporations, where he highlighted Kazakhstan’s investment potential.
