Greeting the guest, the Head of State noted that since the establishment of diplomatic relations, cooperation between Kazakhstan and Palestine has developed in a spirit of friendship, mutual support and respect.

Tokayev stressed that Kazakhstan consistently supports international initiatives aimed at recognizing Palestine as a full member of the international community.

He reaffirmed that Kazakhstan is firmly committed to a diplomatic settlement in the Middle East and the creation of a Palestinian state based on the “two states for two peoples” formula, in line with the UN Charter and international law.

Mahmoud al-Habbash delivered a personal message from President Mahmoud Abbas and thanked Kazakhstan for its continued support of the Palestinian people and their aspirations for a peaceful and stable future.

He added that Kazakhstan is rightly regarded as a “brotherly nation” for Palestine, a sentiment reflected in bilateral dialogue and multilateral platforms — especially the UN and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.

At the end of the meeting, Tokayev conveyed warm wishes to Mahmoud Abbas and invited him to pay an official visit to Kazakhstan.
