Tengrinews.kz – Lawmakers from both chambers of Kazakhstan’s Parliament will gather in Astana on September 8 for President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s annual State of the Nation Address.
According to a decree signed by Mazhilis Speaker Yerlan Koshanov, the joint session of the Mazhilis and the Senate will begin at 11:00 a.m. The president’s speech will be broadcast live on national television and on Akorda’s official social media pages.
Tokayev earlier announced that the address will outline the key goals and priorities of Kazakhstan’s economic and social policy. The event will bring together MPs, government officials, members of the National Kurultai, the Human Rights Commission, the National Commission on Women and Family Policy, as well as representatives of civil society and labor groups.
