Tengrinews.kz – The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, congratulated Nikushor Dan on his election as President of Romania, citing the Akorda press service.
The head of state sent a congratulatory telegram.
"I believe that your victory in the elections is a clear testament to the trust and support of the people for your plans aimed at Romania's prosperity. I am confident that, thanks to our joint efforts, the traditional relations of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation between Astana and Bucharest will continue to strengthen," the telegram reads.
It’s worth noting that Nikushor Dan was elected president of Romania in the second round of elections held on May 18. He is expected to take the oath and assume office as Romania's president on May 26.
