Kazakhstan’s diplomat Madina Jarbussynova has been appointed to a high post in the OSCE (Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe), Tengrinews reports referring to the press-office of the Kazakhstan Foreign Affairs Ministry.
Kazakhstan’s diplomat Madina Jarbussynova has been appointed to a high post in the OSCE (Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe), Tengrinews reports referring to the press-office of the Kazakhstan Foreign Affairs Ministry.
On June 3, 2014 OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier sent a letter to Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry informing that the country’s diplomat Madina Jarbussynova was appointed OSCE Special Representative and Co-ordinator for Combating Human Trafficking.
Before the new appointment, Madina Jarbussynova had been the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine since May 2013.
Madina Jarbussynova is a career diplomat. She held high posts at the Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry. She served as deputy foreign minister in 1998-1999. After that she worked as permanent representative of Kazakhstan to the United Nations in New York and Kazakhstan ambassador in Cuba concurrently for four years.
Upon returning to Kazakhstan, she took the position of an ambassador-at-large at the Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry. She specialized in human dimension and human rights.
