Tengrinews.kz – Kazakhstan and Armenia signed 15 intergovernmental and interagency documents following talks between President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Astana, Akorda reported.

The two leaders also adopted a Joint Statement summarizing the results of the negotiations.

In the presence of Tokayev and Pashinyan, members of the official delegations exchanged the following agreements and memorandums:

  • Agreement on the transfer, use, protection and safeguarding of classified information;
  • Agreement on the mutual allocation of land plots for the construction of diplomatic missions in Astana and Yerevan;
  • Roadmap for Kazakhstan–Armenia trade and economic cooperation for 2026–2030;
  • Memorandum of cooperation between Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Industry and Construction and Armenia’s Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure;
  • Memorandum of cooperation between Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization and Armenia’s Ministry of High-Tech Industry;
  • Memorandum of understanding between the agriculture ministries on cooperation in agricultural trade;
  • Action plan between the foreign ministries for 2026–2027;
  • Action plan between the health ministries for 2026–2027;
  • Agreement between the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia on establishing a Kazakhstan–Armenia Business Council;
  • Memorandum of cooperation between the national libraries of both countries;
  • Memorandum of cooperation between Kazakhstan’s National Cinema Support Center and the Armenian Cinema Foundation;
  • Memorandum of cooperation between the A. Kasteyev State Museum of Arts and Armenia’s National Gallery;
  • Memorandum on peaceful uses of nuclear energy between Kazakhstan’s Atomic Energy Agency and Armenia’s Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure;
  • Memorandum of cooperation in science and higher education;
  • Agreement on cooperation between Kazakhstan’s Academy of Public Administration and the Diplomatic School of Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The talks were held on November 21 in Astana in an expanded format. Tokayev emphasized the long-standing friendship and mutual respect that unite the Kazakh and Armenian peoples, while Pashinyan said his visit opens new opportunities to deepen bilateral cooperation and elevate relations to the level of strategic partnership.

In August, Tokayev congratulated Pashinyan during a phone call on the signing of the Washington Declaration on peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
