Kazakhstan Culture Days to be held in Indonesia12 may 2014, 13:25
The opening ceremony of the Days of Kazakhstan Culture in Indonesia will be held at Taman Ismail Marzuki concert hall on May 13 in Jakarta, Indonesia, Tengrinews reports citing the Ministry of Culture of Kazakhstan.
Prominent Kazakhstan performers will take part in the Gala Concert as a part of the event. A photo exhibition called Kazakhstan Today and screening of Kazakhstani movies Leader’s Way trilogy (films about President Nazarbayev) and Zhauzhurek Myn Bala (1000 Brave Boys), a historical thriller directed by Akan Satayev will be up.
Famous Kazakh artists Yeskendir Khasangaliyev, Nurzhamal Usenbayeva, Altinay Zhorabayeva, Birzhan Khasangaliyev, Daniyar Baizhumanov, Balzhan Zhunusova, Medet Chotabaev, Otyrar sazy orchestra of folk instruments, Beles folk band and Saltanat dancing group will take part in the concert.
Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono visited Kazakhstan in September 2013. That was when the plans to hold the Days of Indonesian Culture in Kazakhstan in 2013 and the Days of Kazakhstan Culture in Indonesia in 2014 were unveiled. In addition, the two leaders discussed cooperation in energy, mining, oil and gas, telecommunications, mechanical engineering, tourism and culture.
Astana hosted the Days of Indonesian Culture in Kazakhstan in September 2013. Performances of prominent Indonesian masters of art, a photo exhibition, a textile exhibition and screening of Indonesian films took place during the cultural event.
