Kairat Umarov appointed new Kazakhstan’s Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the USA

Mr. Kairat Umarov has been appointed the new Kazakhstan’s Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the USA, President Nazarbayev’s Press Service reports. According to the statement, he was relieved of his duties as Vice Foreign Minister. Born in January 1963 in Fergana, Uzbekistan, Mr. Umarov earlier served as Minister Counselor to the USA, Ambassador at large, Chief Inspector at the Center for Foreign Policy within the President’s Administration, Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to India, Vice Foreign Minister.
