Almost 9 thousand people have applied for participation in the 6th Astana Economic Forum, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Kazakhstan Senator Serik Nugerbekov. “The exact number of registered forum’s participants is 8,900, i.e. around 9,000 people. Tomorrow is the last day of the registration and we will publish the exact numbers after that. The Forum will become a platform for representatives of our government and heads of pubic authorities to share their opinions, plans and programs, as well as to cooperate with the participants in the work of key directions of the global anti-crisis plan,” Nugerbekov said at the briefing in the President’s Central Communications Service. According to him, the 6th Astana Economic Forum will include 7 dialogs with the media and the first global anti-crisis conference. Experts from 80 countries have already confirmed participation in this conference. “The President initiated creation of the G-Global platform. It is only 1 year old, but it already involves over 2.5 million people from 160 countries. The 5th Astana Economic Forum was held last year and we announced a contest that resulted in publishing of over 70 reports at the G-Global platform. They have all became a basis for recommendations for the G20,” Nugerbekov added. The 6th Astana Economic Forum will be held on May 22-24. Its organization will cost Kazakhstan $2 million.
