5th Astana Economic Forum has started in Astana, Tengrinews.kz reports.
This year’s agenda of the 5th Astana Economic Forum includes three sections: financial capital and global economy, industrial-innovative development, sustainable development and global social situation. The forum will include 50 different events. Open discussions will be attended by former and incumbent presidents of countries, 25 incumbent and former ministers, businessmen, 12 Noble prize-winners, as well as heads of international companies. Several policy agreements and memorandums will be signs during the forum. 50 agreements totally worth at least $2 billion are ready to be signed as well.
The 25th plenary meeting of Kazakhstan President’s Council of Foreign Investors opened today. The meeting is called Kazakhstan - the international trade, logistics, business and financial hub. Prior to the event Nursultan Nazarbayev met with president of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Thomas Mirow.
8,000 people from 90 countries and over 300 high-ranking guests are taking part in the 5th Astana Economic Forum. The official opening of the forum will be held on May 23 and will be participated by Kazakhstan President. Over 300 accredited media representatives will cover the events.
