President Nursultan Nazarbayev suggested dedicating the next meeting of the Council to the soon-to-be-opened financial center.
“The international financial center is going to be based on the infrastructure created for the EXPO-2017. Everything we are doing for the EXPO-2017 including the venues we can passed on to the financial center. We will not have to spend money and time. It will the key center in the region. I hope for your support. That is why, I suggest dedicating the 29th meeting of the Foreign Investor’s Council to creation of the International Financial Center Astana and conducting the meeting here in the capital. That is, if you all support me,” Nazarbayev said.
Earlier the President of Kazakhstan instructed the government to use the experience of Dubai in establishing its autonomous financial center in accordance with international standards and said that English would be the language of business conduct at the Astana center.
