Tengrinews.kz - The Head of State congratulated Vietnamese President Luong Cuong, according to a message from the Akorda.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a congratulatory telegram to the new President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
"Your victory in the elections reflects broad support from your compatriots for your political course aimed at ensuring economic stability, improving the country's well-being, and strengthening its international standing. I express readiness to join efforts in further strengthening Kazakh-Vietnamese relations, which are based on ties of friendship and mutual understanding," the telegram reads.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wished Luong Cuong success in his responsible duties and prosperity to the friendly people of Vietnam.
General Luong Cuong was appointed as new president of Vietnam
General Luong Cuong is a permanent member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party. Born in 1957, he has held various positions in the command of one of the provinces since 1975, as well as serving as a political officer in the main political department of the Vietnam People's Army and later in an army corps and military district.
