Thai billionaire Vikrom Kromadit has started his third trip called Caravan Asia-2013. This year it will cover Asian countries, including Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz reports. The trip started on March 17. The billionaire plans to visit Laos, China, North Korea, Russia, Myanmar and Kazakhstan in 7 months. The caravan will be made of a cortege of four buses and two jeeps. The team will include 18-20 people. Besides, a film-making crew will accompany them to film the trip documentary called Vikrom’s Vision. A feature movie called DrivenDriven is a feature-length documentary that will follow Vikrom Kromadit as he embarks on a 7 month journey across Asia. Kromadit plans to arrive in Kazakhstan on August 2 after a tour of 11 Russian cities from Vladivostok to Omsk. According to the organizers, the billionaire will spend around 3 weeks in Kazakhstan. He plans to visit Almaty, Astana, Karaganda, Kokshetau and two more Kazakhstan cities. Vikrom Kromadit got into Forbes list of Thailand’s richest people in 2006-2007 and in 2010 he made it into the prestigious Forbes Asia "Hero of Philanthropy" list. His holding company became one of the biggest companies at the industrial constructors market of South-East Asia. The total area of the industrial territories is around 100 square kilometers, hosting 850 companies from 30 countries producing goods worth around $30 billion, which is 10 percent of Thailand’s GDP.
