Kazakhstan National Commission for UNESCO has suggested including Nauryz holiday and hawking in the list of UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, Astana.kz reports citing Kazakhstan Minister of Culture and Information Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed as saying at the meeting of Kazakhstan National Commission for UNESCO and ISESCO. "We are running late. For example, the hawking was included in the list in 12 countries and Kazakhstan's hunting with golden eagle will become only 13th," the Minister said. According to him, the plan is also to suggest such things as aitys and yurt jointly with Kyrgyzstan, as we as kyui performed on dombra, kobyz and sabyzgy jointly with Bashkortastan. Besides, Kazakhstan also submitted to UNESCO in February 2013 the transborder project The Silk Road: Initial Section and Seven Routes of Tien Shan Corridor prepared by China, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan for the global heritage list. Another plan is to hold an international forum in Astana timed to the official launch of the international decade of cultures rapprochement with participation of the UN and UNESCO representatives, outstanding politicians, scientists and cultural figures.
