Kazakhstan national Olympics team will bring kazy (traditional Kazakh sausages made of horse meat) to London, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing Yelsiyar Kanagatov, Kazakhstan Sport and Physical Education Agency deputy chairman. “Special Olympic villages are established at such large-scale events. Food services areas, medical centers, training sites, swimming pools, and other facilities will be working round the clock there. Everything will be provided. It won't be European food only. There will be Asian, Muslim and other food, everything one can wish for, all kinds of food will be available there. However, we are going to bring some additional Kazakh food for our wrestlers and weight-lifters. We’ll bring kazy, karta and caviar for each team,” Yelsya Kanagatov said. There is no sense in bring Kazakhstan cooks to London, Kanagatov said. In this case Kazakhstan national team would have to live separately and run its own canteen. That’s why the managers of the team will just buy some additional national dishes. These dishes will be meant for Kazakhstan boxers first of all, because they will stay in London much longer than other athletes. “The athletes might become tired of that food. However the food is diverse and in plenty there. There will be fruits, ice-cream, juices – everything will be provided. There are no problems with the food, all the athletes’ requests are usually taken into account. The water is of a very high quality there, too. There are different beverages and juices there, so there is no sense in bringing anything with us,” Sport Agency deputy chairman said. 2012 Summer Olympics will be held in London on July 27 – August 12. 114 Kazakhstan athletes have qualified for XXX Summer Olympics Games.
