Tengrinews.kz - Kazakhstan will hold a trial agricultural census from 20 August to 30 September this year.

The Office for National Statistics said the census will take place in two villages and one town in each region, as well as three major cities. It will take place from 20 August to 30 September 2024.

"The main survey will be conducted by employees of local units, without involving interviewers. The survey will last 13 days in cities and 15 days in villages," said Asel Sarsekova, the head of the national census.

The main agricultural census will take place from 1 August to 20 October 2025.

"The census will be conducted using administrative data and modern technology. From 15 May to June 2025, there will be a preliminary round of dachas in cities. From 1 to 31 August, there will be an online census where people will be able to fill out questionnaires themselves on the website. Then, within 20 days, the data will be processed," the speaker said.

The final stage will involve household interviews using tablets from September 20 to October 20, with a follow-up verification process to ensure data accuracy.
