Unusual glowing object spotted in the sky over Almaty

Tengrinews.kz — Residents of Almaty noticed an unusual glowing object in the sky at around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday night. Videos recorded by eyewitnesses spread on social media.

The footage shows the object moving across the sky, leaving behind a bright luminous trail. It is believed that it may have been a rocket launch. There have been no official comments on this so far.

Meanwhile, as previously reported by Roscosmos, a Soyuz-2.1a rocket carrying the Progress MS-34 cargo spacecraft was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on the night of April 26. The spacecraft is expected to enter orbit and then dock with the Zvezda module of the International Space Station.
