The President assured that the state will continue to support local farmers and assist in the implementation of effective projects.
"In my Address, I clearly stated that we will support landowners and private farmers who work productively on their land. But land users who visit their plots a couple of times a year, collect income, and live in Almaty or abroad are not needed. They must take care of the land, villagers, create jobs, and improve living conditions. I have instructed the akim(governor) to deal with such land users, and this is outlined in my Address," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said during the conversation.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the importance of implementing new technologies and advanced processing of products in agriculture.
"If you have bought the land, please invest; if you work effectively, there are no complaints — keep working. But coming here with a careless attitude towards the lives of villagers is not acceptable. We clearly understand this and will act in this direction," Tokayev stated during a conversation with land users.
Earlier, the head of state met with Zurab Pololikashvili, the Secretary-General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
