Tengrinews.kz – The Department of Emergency Situations has issued a weather warning for residents and visitors of Almaty.
According to the agency, rain and thunderstorms are expected in the city on April 10. In the mountainous areas of the Ile-Alatau mountains (Bostandyk and Medeu districts), rain with thunderstorms is forecast during the day, while at night heavy precipitation may turn into snow.
Residents and tourists are advised to avoid hiking in the mountains, follow safety precautions and monitor official updates.

Earlier, forecasters outlined the three-day outlook for the city:
On April 10, partly cloudy weather is expected, with rain and thunderstorms at night. Winds will shift from southwest to northwest at 3–8 m/s. Temperatures will range from +8…+10°C at night to +18…+20°C during the day.
On April 11, partly cloudy conditions will continue, with rain and thunderstorms at night. Northeast winds will reach 3–8 m/s, with gusts up to 15 m/s overnight. Temperatures will be +5…+7°C at night and +20…+22°C during the day.
On April 12, no precipitation is expected. Northeast winds will remain at 3–8 m/s. Temperatures will range from +6…+8°C at night to +22…+24°C during the day.
