Tengrinews.kz – The Tengrinews.kz website and mobile app have introduced an audio player, allowing users to listen to news in a quick, AI-generated format.
A headphone icon now appears in the bottom right corner of the homepage in both the app and the website. The player can also be launched directly from any news page with a single tap. Each audio clip is a concise, 30-second summary of the story, voiced using artificial intelligence. Playback speed can be adjusted, and news items are compiled into playlists for continuous listening.
Since launch, the player has been activated over 290,000 times, with more than 1,000 news stories already converted into audio.
The feature is designed for convenience — whether commuting, walking, working out, or on the job, users can stay informed without reading from a screen.
Tengrinews.kz’s updated app, released in December, also includes AI-powered features, enhanced commenting tools, and new interactive options. Exclusive functions not available on the standard website will be added in future updates.
