Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that digitalization will have a positive impact on the nation's mentality, shaping the future of Kazakhstan.
Speaking at the Digital Bridge 2025 International Forum in Astana, Tokayev reiterated that building a digital state is a strategic choice that will define Kazakhstan's future.
"In my Address, I emphasized that transitioning to a digital format of governance within three years is a crucial task. This will mean a deep transformation in the relationship between the state, citizens, and businesses," he said.
The President pointed out that the creation of the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development will be the key driver in the country's digitalization and the implementation of AI across all sectors.
"In other words, public life in our country will be completely different—more technological, modern—which, in turn, will positively influence the mentality of the nation, helping us make a giant leap toward civilization. I have repeatedly said that our people should look to the future with optimism, not be stuck in the past," Tokayev added.
Tokayev also highlighted the virtual member of the board of directors at "Samruk-Kazyna", which operates using artificial intelligence technology. He explained that this is the first project of its kind in Central Asia, realized using the national supercomputer and Kazakhstan’s large language model, Alem LLM. Such solutions have practical significance as they help optimize internal processes.
Earlier, Tokayev emphasized that AI development should reflect cultural diversity and serve the interests of society as a whole, not just privileged groups.
