Tengrinews.kz - Weather conditions in the Kyzylorda and Ulytau regions have improved, which made it possible to lift restrictions on previously closed highways.

According to QazAvtoJol, on December 20, at 8 AM, traffic was opened on sections of the Kyzylorda - Zhezkazgan national highway from Kyzylorda to the border of the Ulytau region and further along the Kyzylorda - Pavlodar highway to Zhezkazgan.

Recall: Bad weather caused a temporary stop in traffic for all types of transport from 1 AM on Friday on these highways in the Kyzylorda and Ulytau regions. It was previously reported that traffic was planned to resume from 6 AM.

The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan explained that on the evening of December 19, police officers escorted more than 300 vehicles between the cities of Zhezkazgan and Satpayev, ensuring the safety of the convoys. Due to icy conditions, police officers regulated traffic in these directions from 6 PM to 10 PM.
