Tengrinews.kz — President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev addressed a meeting on the development of Alatau city. The Head of State identified the provision of maximum comfort for investors and top-tier service as a priority task.

"We must create a favorable investment climate. The priority is to ensure maximum comfort for investors and the highest level of service. First and foremost, it is essential to strictly adhere to all international standards. This is particularly vital in areas where national regulation objectively lags behind best practices. Initiating this work is the key to our accelerated and pioneering growth. Responsible officials must make decisive choices without hesitation. This is not a request or advice; it is a direct order", he stated.

The President also emphasized that cities with special legal status are seizing the lead by actively and boldly attracting global capital.

"Protecting foreign investment, providing 'one-stop-shop' services, and ensuring transparent conditions and immutable state guarantees are urgent and paramount tasks. We must ensure high-quality process management and build a sustainable ecosystem to scale up investment inflows. To achieve maximum impact, we need to attract a pool of major investors by creating a favorable environment and a developed ecosystem for them. Of course, this is a large-scale process. Therefore, it is crucial to focus on priority sectors: IT, manufacturing, transport and logistics, tourism, medicine, and education", he noted.

As a reminder, on May 8, the Head of State signed the Constitutional Law "On the Special Legal Status of the City of Alatau".

As previously noted, the city's unique legal status represents a fundamentally new approach to forming an independent ecosystem aimed at creating a favorable environment for innovation, investment, and economic growth.
