Tengrinews.kz - Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard for Educational and Socio-Legal Work Kairat Umbetov explained why there are no surveillance cameras in the bathrooms of military units, where non-statutory relationships often occur.

The officer cited ethical standards as the reason for the absence of cameras.

"Ethical norms do not allow this. There are cameras at the entrance, but not inside," Umbetov stated.

Journalists reminded that soldier Yerbayan Mukhtar suffered a serious head injury specifically in the bathroom.

"No one has the right to say that he was beaten, neither you nor anyone else. The soldier woke up at 02:15 am, went to the bathroom, and there are witnesses who saw him fall. An investigation is being conducted by the military investigative bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and it's too early to say that someone hit Yerbayan Mukhtar. The soldier is recovering and regaining consciousness. If these facts are confirmed, then we can talk about it," the officer noted.

Earlier, we reported that the injured National Guard soldier is being prepared for transportation to foreign clinics.
