Tengrinews.kz – Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Labor and Social Protection has named the country’s highest-paying professions. In August 2025, candidates for positions such as technical director, pilot, and commercial director reported the highest salary expectations — exceeding 1 million tenge per month.
According to the national job portal Enbek.kz, 239,800 vacancies and 138,500 résumés were published in August. Compared to July, the number of vacancies grew by 128.9 percent (+135,000), while the number of résumés decreased by 6.3 percent (-9,300).
Who employers are looking for
Over 70 percent of vacancies came from the education sector (120,700), information and communications (17,400), services (17,100), and manufacturing (15,000). Nearly one in five education-related vacancies (18.5 percent) were posted in Astana and Almaty.
The demand for highly qualified specialists remained strong, with 124,100 listings (52 percent). Two-thirds of these openings were for teachers and educators (81,600). Jobs for mid-level workers accounted for 31 percent (75,200), and unskilled laborers for 17 percent (40,400).
Where vacancies are growing fastest
The sharpest increases were recorded in Almaty region (+387.5 percent), Zhambyl region (+377.4 percent), West Kazakhstan (+242.4 percent), Aktobe region (+198.4 percent), and Zhetysu (+182.7 percent).
Residents of Almaty region (+31.4 percent), Almaty city (+30.4 percent), and Turkistan region (+17 percent) were the most active in posting résumés.
Most in-demand jobs
The top vacancies included PR managers (16,300), math teachers (7,600), and kindergarten educators (6,100). Among mid-level jobs, the most sought-after were assistant educators (4,400), security guards (2,700), and drivers (2,600).
Who earns the most
By salary expectations, technical directors (about 1.2 million tenge), pilots (about 1.2 million), and commercial directors (about 1.1 million) topped the list. Among vacancies posted, the highest offers were for a plant manager in the mining industry (around 843,800 tenge), deputy head of the power supply department (733,000), and chief program editor in IT (718,000).
August highlighted strong demand for highly qualified professionals, particularly in education ahead of the new school year. Teachers, kindergarten staff, and their assistants drove the job market, while the country’s top salaries remain concentrated among executives and specialized experts.
