Tengrinews.kz – Kazakhstan is committed to supporting a sustainable peace in Ukraine, the Foreign Ministry said following a meeting between Kazakh and Ukrainian officials on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.
Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs Murat Nurtleu met with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha to discuss key issues on the international agenda and the current state of bilateral cooperation.
“Nurtleu confirmed Kazakhstan’s interest in an early settlement of the situation in Ukraine and the achievement of a lasting peace in the country,” the ministry’s statement noted.
The Kazakh minister stressed that Astana has consistently advocated for resolving the conflict through political and diplomatic means, in line with the UN Charter and fundamental principles of international law.
