Tengrinews.kz - Kazakh businessman is wanted in Kyrgyzstan, citing the National Security Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the committee, Yasynjan Tairov, owner of the "Simiram" leisure center, is being sought in connection with the financing of the organized crime group led by Kamchybek Asanbek (Kamchi Kolbaev).
The security services have identified that Tairov funded Kamchi Kolbaev’s OCG, which was part of the international criminal group "Bratskiy Krug". Tairov, aware of Kolbaev’s criminal activities, established a connection with him to pursue joint business ventures. The entrepreneur reportedly provided Kolbaev with 200,000 USD and regularly offered cottages and rooms to OCG members.
"Based on the collected evidence, the Oktobrskiy District Court of Bishkek has issued a warrant for Tairov's arrest in absentia, and he has been declared wanted, including internationally through Interpol's National Central Bureau, for criminal prosecution," the statement reads.
Kamchi Kolbaev was considered one of the most notorious criminal figures in Kyrgyzstan. In June 2011, he was officially recognized by the United States as a key figure in the international drug trade and was listed among the "Bratskiy Krug" criminal network.
