Tengrinews.kz — Kazhydromet has issued storm warnings for several regions of Kazakhstan for Tuesday, October 28. According to meteorologists, most of the country will experience foggy and windy weather, with increased fire hazards in some areas.
East Kazakhstan and Abai regions
Fog is expected in the north, south, and central areas of the Abai Region. Winds from the northeast will reach 15–20 meters per second in the southern and southwestern parts. The south of the region will remain under high fire danger.
Akmola region
Fog will cover the western, northern, and eastern parts of the region during the night and morning. The southwest will continue to face high fire risks.
Aktobe region
Southeast and east winds are forecast, with gusts of 15–18 meters per second at night in the center and during the day in the north and west. The south and east will see high fire danger, while the west, northeast, and central areas will experience extreme fire danger.
Atyrau region
Fog is expected at night and in the morning across the west, north, and south. The south and east remain under extreme fire danger, while the northeast and southeast face high fire risks. In Atyrau city, fog is expected with extreme fire danger persisting.
East Kazakhstan region
Fog is forecast in the northern, eastern, and southern parts of the region.
Zhambyl region
Morning and daytime thunderstorms are expected in the western, southern, and mountainous areas, with northeast winds up to 15–20 m/s. The west and north face extreme fire danger, while the center and south will see high fire danger. In Taraz, thunderstorms and high fire risk are expected.
Zhetysu region
Between October 28–31, the north and central areas, including Taldykorgan, will experience high fire danger.
West Kazakhstan region
Fog is expected at night and in the morning in the north, east, and west, with southeast and south winds reaching 15–20 m/s during the day. Uralsk will also see fog overnight and in the morning.
Karaganda region
Fog is expected at night and in the morning in the north and east, while the west will remain under high fire danger.
Kostanay region
Fog will cover the west, north, and east, with the south facing extreme fire danger and the southwest — high fire danger.
Kyzylorda region
The entire region will face extreme fire danger, with high risks in the north, center, and in Kyzylorda city.
Mangystau region
Fog will occur at night and in the morning in the west, south, and central areas, including Aktau. The west, northeast, and south will remain under high fire danger.
North Kazakhstan region
Fog is expected at night and in the morning in the eastern part of the region.
Turkistan region
Morning and daytime thunderstorms are possible in the south and mountain areas, with southeast winds up to 15–20 m/s.
Ulytau region
High fire danger remains across the region, including Zhezkazgan, while the south faces extreme fire risks.
Astana
In the capital, fog is expected at night and in the morning on October 28.
