Tengrinews.kz – Due to deteriorating weather conditions in Kazakhstan, many national highways have been closed. As a result, almost all major exits from Astana have been shut down.

Akmola region

From 09:00 on March 10, traffic restrictions for all types of vehicles were introduced on the following sections:

Astana — Karaganda — Almaty (30–92 km);
Astana — Shiderty — Pavlodar — Uspenka — border of the Russian Federation (16–200 km).

From 09:30 on March 10, the following roads were closed:

Astana — Atbasar — Zhaksy — Ruzaevka — Sarykol — Kostanay — border of the Russian Federation (16–135 km);
Astana — Korgalzhyn (with access to the Korgalzhyn Reserve) (19–180 km).

The preliminary reopening time for these roads is March 10 at 12:00.

Karaganda region

From 09:00 on March 10, the following sections were closed:

Astana — Karaganda — Almaty (92–164 km);
Astana — Kabanbay Batyr — Nura — Temirtau (51–164 km).

Preliminary reopening time — March 10 at 12:00.

From 10:00 on March 10, restrictions were introduced on the following sections:

Kyzylorda — Zhezkazgan — Karaganda — Shiderty (788–906 km);
Astana — Karaganda — Almaty (184–197 km).

From 10:30 on March 10, the following section was closed:

Kyzylorda — Zhezkazgan — Karaganda — Shiderty (970–1135 km).

From 10:40 on March 10, the following section was closed:

Astana — Karaganda — Almaty (248–357 km).

Preliminary reopening time — March 11 at 08:00.

From 11:00 on March 10, restrictions were introduced on the following sections:

Astana — Karaganda — Almaty (357–592 km);
Temirtau — Aktau — Bastau (0–53 km).

Preliminary reopening time — March 11 at 08:00.

Pavlodar region

From 09:00 on March 10, the following section was closed:

Astana — Shiderty — Pavlodar — Uspenka — border of the Russian Federation (200–254 km).

From 11:00 on March 10, restrictions were introduced on the section:

Kyzylorda — Zhezkazgan — Karaganda — Shiderty (1135–1206 km).
Preliminary reopening time — March 11 at 08:00.
