Over 160 thousand Kazakhstan citizens to take part in People's IPO

Over 160 thousand Kazakhstan citizens are expected to take part in the People’s IPO program, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the official website of Kazakhstan Prime-Minister. According to Prime-Minister’s press-service, the program is aimed at providing all Kazakhstan citizens with an opportunity to buy shares of major national companies, make money and participate in development of these companies. “The plan is that 10 major companies of Kazakhstan will put their shares up for sale to Kazakhstan citizens by 2015," the message states. KazTransOil will be the first company to make the People’s IPO. Earlier Samruk-Kazyna planned for KEGOC to be the first one to sell its stock to Kazakhstan citizens.
