Nursultan Nazarbayev made several appointments, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the President’s official website. “Zautbek Turisbekov is appointed Kazakhstan’s ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Ukraine. He is released from the position of Kazakhstan’s ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Russia,” the President’s website writes. Galym Orazbakov will represent Kazakhstan’s interests in Russia instead of Zautbek Turisbekov. “Galym Orazbakov is appointed Kazakhstan’s ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Russia. He is released from the position of Kazakhstan’s ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Israel and ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Cyprus,” Nazarbayev’s press-service writes. Bolat Nurgaliyev is appointed Kazakhstan’s ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Israel. The President also appointed Askhat Ryspayev head of the National Defense University and Nikolay Kuatov was released from this position. New ambassador of Kazakhstan to Ukraine Zautbek Turisbekov was born on December 15, 1951, in Sastobe village of South-Kazakhstan oblast. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics. In different periods of time he worked as deputy head of Kazakhstan President’s administration, chairman of Kazakhstan Agency of State Service and the Interior Minister. He also served as the ambassador to Uzbekistan. Galym Orazbakov appointed the ambassador to Russia was born on September 1, 1964 in Almaty. He has a Ph.D. in Economics. He served as the Minister of Industry and Trade, Vice-Minister of Economy and Trade, President of Kazakhstan Engineering National Company. Bolat Nurgaliyev was born on July 25, 1951, in Blagodatnoye village of Akmola oblast. He served as the Secretary General of Shanghai Cooperation Organization, deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan. He used to be Kazakhstan’s ambassador to the U.S., Canada, Mexico, South Korea and Japan. Askhat Ryspayev used to head the department of organizational-mobilization work of Kazakhstan Defense Ministry. He graduated from the Military Academy of Kazakhstan Armed Forces. He has several state awards.
