A new Akim (Mayor) of Shymkent has been appointed, Tengrinews.kz reports. Kairat Moldasseitov replaced Arman Zhetpisbayev on this position. Kairat Moldasseitov has been working as Turkestan Akim since 2009. He has two higher educations: in forest engineering and in law. Arman Zhetpisbayev, 41, has been working as Akim of Shymkent since 2008. There is currently no information about his appointment to another position.
