Aslan Mussin was re-appointed Head of the Administration of the President of Kazakhstan, official media reports citing Nursultan Nazarbayev's decree on his re-appointment dated April 13. Aslan Mussin was born on January 2, 1954 in Bestamak village of Aktobe oblast. In 1975 he graduated from Almaty Economic University. He served as Akim (Governor) of Aktobe and Atyrau oblasts. In October 2006 he was appointed Minister of Economy and Budget Planning. From January 10, 2007 he was combining two positions after being appointed Vice Prime Minister in Karim Massimov's Government. In September 2007 he was elected Speaker of the Majilis (lower chamber of the Parliament). Since October 2008 he has been heading the presidential administration.
