Kazakhstan wrestlers gained three gold medals in the Olympic qualifying tournament that was held in Astana, Tengrinews.kz reports, referring to Kazakhstan Wrestling Federation's press service. Yelena Shalygina overcame Aysulu Tynybekova in women wrestling and qualified for the London Olympic Games. Shalygina is a multiple times winner of World Wrestling Championships and Olympic Games. Kazakhstan's women wrestling team shared the seventh place with Chinese team in the general ranking of the tournament. Kazakhstan Greco-Roman wrestlers got two gold medals for their country. Darkhan Bayakhmetov won the fight in 66-kilogram weight league and Daniyal Gadjiyev was the best in the 84-kilogram weight league. Victories in this tournaments gave Kazakhstan wrestlers two new Olympic licenses: Akzhurek Tanatarov and Marid Mutalimov, two Kazakhstan free style wrestlers, reached the final of the tournament and qualified for the Olympics. Kazakhstan wrestling team now holds 14 Olympic spots. The team will have a chance to gain four more spots in big qualifying tournaments in China and Finland in the nearest future.
