Kairat Kelimbetov appointed Minister of Economic Development and Trade

Kairat Kelimbetov has been relieved of his duties in his capacity of the Chairman of Samruk Kazyna Sovereign Wealth Fund and appointed the new Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing the official web site of the President. Before being appointed head of Samruk Kazyna Sovereign Wealth Fund, Mr. Kelimbetov headed Supreme Economic Council, Agency for Strategic Planning, and Administration of the President; served as First Vice Minister of Finance, Minister of Economic Affairs and Budget Planning. Mr. Kelimbetov headed Samruk Kazyna Sovereign Wealth Fund from October 2008.
