200 thousand volunteers to clean-up Almaty

A city-wise volunteer clean-up will take place in Almaty on Saturday, April 9. The lower parts of trees will be painted white, the buildings faces, fences, supports, benches, garbage cans will be painted as well, the press-service of Almaty Department of Natural Resources and Resource Use Management reports. Streets, yards, public areas, ditches and green areas will be cleaned up as well as riverbeds and watercourses. More than 300 vehicles are expected to be involved. As per the regional administration, more than 200 thousand people will be involved in the clean-up, including legal entities, condominiums, schools and universities students. Almaty administration is asking all city residents to take part in the city clean-up and start with cleaning their yards and adjacent territories of their companies.
