Kazakhstan writer Serebryanskiy is finalist of the Russian Prize

Kazakhstan writer Yuriy Serebryanskiy made it into the shortlist of the Russian Prize, an annual literary contest for Russian-language writers living outside Russia, RIA Novosti reports citing the contest founders. The shortlist of the contest's final features Serebryanskiy's Destination. Road Pastorals in its Short Prose category. Andrey Ivanov from Estonia with his Crisis and Leonid Levinzon from Israel with The Flight are also on the final's shortlist. There are also Long Prose and Poetry categories in the competition. There will also be a special prize for contribution into development and preservation of the Russian cultural tradition outside of the Russian Federation. The awarding ceremony will be held in Moscow on April 27. The Russian Prize international contest was founded in 2005 with an objective of preservation and development of the Russian language as well as support to Russian-language writers around the world.
