Our further actions will depend on the ultimate decision to be taken by the Constitutional Council”, Mr. Kuandyk Turgankulov, CEC Head, announced January 10. January 4 the situation-of-emergency was prolonged in Zhanaozen till the end of the month. January 6 the Constitutional Council announced the vote shouldn’t be held in Zhanaozen given the state of emergency. Today Head of State has vetoed the Constitutional Council’s decision.
