Police in search for makers of Zhanaozen videos

The police is searching for the owners of the video of Zhanaozen clashes, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the town superintendant, head of Mangistau oblast Interior Department Amanzhol Kabylov as saying at the meeting with the participants of the blog-tour organized by the government’s press-service. “The residential address has been identified, but the residents have not been found. Maybe they are in Aktau,” Kabylov told about the scandalous video made from the window of one of Zhanaozen buildings. Besides, law-enforcement authorities are expecting to meet with operators of K+ and Stan.TV, the authors of the first videos uploaded on the Internet. “The General Prosecution is sending them notification after notification,” Amanzhol Kabylov said. According to the superintendant, APBs for 9 people identified in the videos have been distributed around Zhanaozen. Officially these people are not wanted yet. According to Amanzhol Kabylov, there were more APBs before, some of the people identified themselves on the pictures and came to police offices. According to Zhanaozen superintendant, 19 people were apprehended in suspicion on participation in clashes, 16 of them were arrested and 3 of them are being held in temporary detention facility. 13 people were apprehended last night for violation of the curfew in Zhanaozen.
