Nursultan Nazarbayev will render an official visit to Germany on February 8, 2012, Tengrinews.kz reports from the third meeting of Kazakhstan-German business council on strategic cooperation in Astana.
“Currently the main issue of the agenda is the coming visit of Kazakhstan President to Germany. The timing has been agreed, it is February 2012,” Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Germany Nurlan Onzhanov said. Kazakhstan President is expected to meet with business community in Berlin.
“Special importance is given to signing a bilateral inter-government agreement on partnership in raw materials, industrial and technological sectors. We need to prepare several bilateral economic projects under this agreement,” Onzhanov added.
Executive Director of Deutsche Bank, co-chairman of German Association for Eastern and Central Europe (OMV) Peter Tills said that Germany is interested in a mutually beneficial cooperation and needs Kazakhstan's resources. Germany in exchange is ready to supply its technologies.
“Germany’s objective is to ensure steady and politically stable source for raw materials that Germany does not have but requires for its industrial production. In its turn Germany has considered the Accelerated Industrial-Innovational Development Program and is willing to supply technologies, vehicles and equipment to Kazakhstan via a mutually beneficial trade,” Tills said.
