Trial of the group of people on terrorism charges started in specialized interregional criminal court of Aktobe oblast, Interfax-Kazakhstan reports. “12 people are on the dock. Upon request of the affected party, the process is held behind closed doors. The court is ambulatory for security reasons. It started on November 29,” the representative of the press-service of oblast court Iliada Dossova said. According to her, the group is charged with terrorism, creation and management of a terrorist group and participation in its activities, promotion of terrorism and public calls to terrorist acts, financing extremist or terrorist activities, creation of social, national, racial or religious conflicts, illegal procurement, sales, storage or bearing of weapons or explosives and illegal making of weapons. Representative of the Department of the National Security Commission of Aktobe oblast Viktor Bespalko said that suicide bombing in the Department’s building this May is one of the episodes of this case. On May 17 a local citizens Rakhimzhan Makatov, 25, blew himself up in the Department of the National Security Commission of Aktobe, causing injuries to two people.
