Russia’s Prime-Minister Vladimir Putin supported the initiative of Kazakhstan PM Karim Massimov on coordination of joint anti-crisis activities in the Customs Union (CU), Tengrinews.kz reports. “Close relations are specially essential during fluctuations in the world economy. It is acknowledged; we have discussed it many times. We are planning to further coordinate our anti-crisis activities. We already have tools for mutual support, I mean, first of all, the EurAsEC Anti-Crisis Fund and we have given it special attention as suggested by our Kazakhstan counterpart,” Russian PM noted at the final briefing. Putin also added that in this case the goal is “to coordinate our positions and forespeak on the tools and terms that we could jointly use”. Massimov said: “The principal decision has been made today and we will be coordinating macroeconomic policies of our countries and will create a work group”. “We will shortly see that we are on the right side of the post and there can be no other way,” Kazakhstan Prime-Minister added.
