India’s Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is expected to visit Kazakhstan in April, announced President Nazarbayev when meeting foreign ambassadors today, President’s Press Service reports. “In April, India’s Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is expected to visit Kazakhstan. I hope his visit will give a new impetus to the bilateral relations between the two nations, including in the economic realm”, President Nazarbayev said. He emphasized that Kazakhstan is India’s key partner in Central Asia. “We are interested in developing strategic cooperation in line with the Joint Declaration of Strategic Partnership signed in 2009. Kazakhstan and India successfully interact in the international arena. Kazakhstan appreciates India’s contribution to the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) and the Congress of World Religions”, Head of state said.
