Majority of Kazakhstan residents willing to save money with the state

A majority of Kazakhstan residents are ready to participate in state educational deposits systems. The opinion poll was held at the official website of Kazakhstan Prime-Minister Karim Massimov. 62 percent of respondents opted for participation in the system. 27 percent of them are ready to take part because “the state guarantees security of deposits in second-tier banks.” 35 percent of potential participants like the conditions: additional state bonus, savings starting from 2 MCI (1 MCI (minimum calculation index) equals to 1,512 tenge ($10)), loan period of up to 20 years. 38 percent of respondents refused to participate in the system. The deposit system for technical and higher education was developed under instruction of Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev. In his annual address to the people of Kazakhstan called Let's build the future together!, he said that Kazakhstan residents need to have new opportunities for saving money for education of their children and receiving bonus interest from the state.
